This is an unframed, original oil painting, entitled "Backyard Mountain Laurel." It is signed by me "Judith Rhue" and dated "2011" in the lower right corner. It is also painted on the sides.
The scenery around my home never ceases to amaze me. It has provided the inspiration for this painting. The beautiful Mountain Laurel that blooms in my backyard provides a dramatic backdrop for the black bears, multitude of deer, a buck with many points (I didn't count them), turkeys, wolf, coyote, fox, hawks and other miscellaneous little creatures, who regularly make a guest appearance. We have a stream that runs along the property line, so parched critters are always traveling through our yard to quench their thirst. I suspect they also like the flowers. Mountain Laurel is Pennsylvania's State flower. It blooms all over our backyard and looks great.
