"In Pursuit of Youth" Abstract Oil Painting

I was watching one of the “housewives” episodes on Bravo TV and noticed most of the women on the show dabbled in altering their bodies with plastic surgery or, at the very least, with Botox and collagen injections.   Their wealth could not buy back their youth . . . try as they might.   They didn’t look younger or better to me, only stranger and unnatural.     The same realization occurred to me in Palm Beach, Florida, where the elderly women with no wrinkles abound . . . canes and walkers . . . but not one wrinkle.   That fear of looking older and the willingness to be injected or cut inspired “In Pursuit of Youth.”
